Sometimes someone comes up with an idea that you wish... you'd thought of yourself :-) Because who would have thought that living in an old church in Dordrecht could be so glamorous! Check out the wonderful home of Julia, Jori and Tijm from the instagram account @het_kerkhuisje. I love the copious amounts of space and light here in the St Jacobs Chapel, which was built in 1910. This way, the wonderful statement pieces get all the attention they deserve. Eames (Vitra) seems very well represented here, in the form of the black Lounge Chair Wood, the Hang it All coat rack, the Eames Elephant and Bird and several versions of the famous dining chairs. Of course I also love the touches of green and typography. As a matter of fact, I can only watch in awe (and jealousy) :-)
The owners are even more ambitious than I would be (as I love the place as it is now). They have some exciting plans in terms of renovations (see below)! Curious? Stay up to date and make sure to follow @het_kerkhuisje on Instagram :-)
